Community Service

1HOPE Together

1HOPE is a Christ-centered nonprofit dedicated to bringing the hope of Jesus to vulnerable children and families. Locally, 1HOPE supports foster families in Kenosha and throughout Kenosha County by providing practical resources, encouragement, and community care. Through church partnerships, they help meet real needs while pointing families to lasting hope in Christ.

River Ridge Church-Trevor is grateful to partner with 1HOPE as we live out our mission to worship, grow, serve, and share — serving foster families right here in our community.

The Sharing Center

The Sharing Center in Trevor, WI, serves individuals and families in our local community by providing food, essential household items, and compassionate support during times of need. Their mission is simple yet powerful — to care for neighbors with dignity and practical help.

River Ridge Church-Trevor is grateful to partner with The Sharing Center throughout the year. As part of this ongoing partnership, we host a monthly collection drive to help supply much-needed items for local families.

Outreach Ministry

Each year we host several large events for the community that position us to build the reputation of Christ as we love others the way He loves us. Through our outreach efforts, we are able to build bridges to the unchurched by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and doing good works in His name.

Meal Train Ministry

The Meal Train Ministry, led by Dawn Reinhold Turpel, helps care for individuals and families in times of need — whether recovering from illness, grieving a loss, or celebrating a new baby. By signing up to provide meals, we can strengthen relationships and show Christ’s love in a practical way.

McHenry County Adopt a Highway Program

The McHenry County Adopt-A-Highway Program is a volunteer effort to eliminate litter along sections of County Roads. As a way of expressing our commitment to maintaining and serving our community, River Ridge Church has adopted two stretches of highway, one on Wilmot road north of 173 and one on Main Street in Spring Grove. Every year, we gather 3-4 times between the spring and fall to clean up litter and help to beautify our community.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan's Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization headed by Franklin Graham. The project collects shoebox gifts filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way. For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received. Delivered into the hands of children through local churches, every shoebox gift is an opportunity to share about Jesus Christ and God's love.

Each year, River Ridge Church participates in the collection, packing, and delivery of shoeboxes for this ministry between September and November.

40 Days for Life

At River Ridge Churches, we believe in the power of prayer - and the importance of standing for life with both compassion and conviction.

Throughout the year, we partner with 40 Days for Life, a global, faith-based movement that unites believers in peaceful prayer for the unborn, their families, and all those impacted by unplanned pregnancies. These gatherings take place near Planned Parenthood locations and are centered on prayer, hope, and the love of Christ for every life.

Whether you’ve participated before or are simply curious, you are always welcome to join us. No experience is needed - just a heart willing to pray.
